Discover the Anchorage Trail

The Anchorage Trail is a beautiful 2-mile paved loop perfect for walking, jogging, biking with family, or simply enjoying nature. Starting in the heart of downtown Anchorage, the 10-foot-wide path winds through scenic woodlands, across gentle creeks, and alongside peaceful farm fields. It’s a favorite spot for locals to walk their dogs, get active, and take in the sights and sounds of nature.

Along the trail, you’ll find a rich variety of birds, wildflowers, and other native wildlife. Nearby Willow Lake is home to swans, ducks, and geese, adding to the trail’s charm. Over the years, Evergreen Real Estate has enhanced the area by planting and harvesting thousands of pumpkins in the trail’s adjoining farm fields. The on-site amphitheater has hosted everything from scout meetings and church services to weddings and school programs. Students from Anchorage Public School even use the trail for hands-on outdoor learning experiences.

In 2008, the Anchorage Trail received the prestigious National Trails Corporate Award. Though privately owned, it remains open to the public—a treasured part of the community that continues to grow and inspire. It’s more than just a trail; it’s a legacy in motion.
