RENOVATIONS & PROJECTS

Here we grow again.

The photos below highlight just a small sampling of the thoughtful architectural and landscape details found throughout the Evergreen Real Estate projects in downtown Anchorage. Each finish tells a story of skilled craftsmanship, timeless design, and deep respect for the historical character of the area.

From restored iron railings and custom mahogany doors to copper gutters, slate roofing, and limestone walkways, every element is chosen with care to complement the original beauty of these historic buildings. Inside and out, these properties feature finely crafted woodwork, period-appropriate hardware, and artistic masonry that reflect the high standards of Evergreen’s restoration approach.

In addition to architectural touches, Evergreen has transformed the surrounding landscapes into peaceful, inviting spaces. Cobblestone paths, hand-laid brickwork, native plantings, seasonal blooms, and custom lighting bring warmth and charm to the downtown environment—enhancing walkability, community pride, and the natural beauty Anchorage is known for.

These details are more than cosmetic—they represent a vision to preserve the past while building for the future. Take a closer look and explore the craftsmanship that makes downtown Anchorage one of Kentucky’s most picturesque communities.

Projects

We’re excited to announce a beautiful new addition to the Anchorage Trail! In partnership with the Anchorage Garden Club, a certified Monarch Waystation is being established along the trail to support one of nature’s most remarkable migrations.

Each fall, millions of monarch butterflies travel thousands of miles from the United States and Canada to their overwintering grounds in Mexico and California. This awe-inspiring journey is one of the world’s great natural phenomena—but it’s increasingly at risk due to habitat loss across North America.

Monarch Waystations are specially designed habitats that provide the vital resources monarchs need to survive and thrive. These include milkweed plants for monarch larvae and nectar-rich flowers for adult butterflies. Without access to these plants during the breeding and migration seasons, monarchs would not be able to complete their life cycle or long-distance journey.

By planting and maintaining this Waystation, the Anchorage Garden Club is helping preserve the monarch population and ensuring that future generations can continue to witness their incredible migration. The Waystation will also serve as a vibrant educational and ecological feature along the trail—inviting walkers, families, and nature lovers to learn more about pollinator conservation and the delicate balance of our natural world.

Stay tuned for progress updates and planting events as this project comes to life on the Trail!
